Light blue for sure. Red, tan, or orange may seem like a good idea, but I have a room in the house with a sunset theme, and it has a red and orange comforter...I have to put on sunglasses before I walk into the room.

Depends on if it's a bouncy and fun beach theme I'd go with blue in the range of sky blue or yellow - or a subdued beach theme, I'd go with gray or beigey gray or white.

My daughter is big on marine life, and this is how I redid her bedroom and bathroom. I picked a comforter that the background was tan and had blue and green stripes. This is a great website for your theme

My opinion would be sand (light tan), pale blue or coral (pale orangish pink). But ultimately, it is your room. Go with a color you like.

i would say orange... it's like the sun, plus it's my favorite color. then the walls could be blue and the carpet could be a tan color for sand.
