the other night i was talking to a male friend of mine who i recently reconnected with,he really wants to meet up and hang out but since im going away to visit family for a couple months i told him we wouldnt be able to hang out any time soon.for some reason he said that by that time i will probaly have a b/f and i said the same can go for him as far as him meeting someone.whats really puzzling me is what could have made him make a comment like that?

i assume that he likes you , and wants to meet up with you to see if there is a conncection and hopefully you can establish something before you go off, and possibly meet someone new

He probably feels that you don't care about him or something. He thinks with you going off, that you probably want have him in you presence. Maybe he feels that you are leading him own. He is eager to see you.If you don't want to be with him,let him know. If you go visit family,can't you at least talk to him on the phone?

When a girls says that we wont be able to hang out any time soon, i usually assume that there is somebody else in the way, or they dont want to. they probably got this message.

he wants to make sure that you know that hes not gonna wait for you to get home just so he can hook up with you. if he finds another girl that he likes while you are away, he doesnt want to hurt your feelings by having you believe that you were his only one.
