Totally. When I was 16 I liked being a kid, but know that I'm 17 can't wait to graduate from high school (only 5 months left) and start my own life.

when i was 17, i lost my virginity, graduated high school, and moved 4 hours from my parents. it wasn't the worst age ever, but it was an age that i learned a lot from. but i'm 21 now and it's a pretty cool age. i can legally drink now, but i'm pregnant, so i can't...but no, 17 is an okay age to be.

I am 17 and am going to be 18 this year and it is not a horrible age.At this stage you are discovering yourself and getting to know who you really are.

Nahhhhh an awesome age to be.
The year to become yourself......already knowing the difference between right and wrong.Being able to choose and know its your choice....with some direction...however you know.

Friends in place and activities all around.
Big plans for your future.....or planning and deciding.

I was always told....you make today what you want it to be....wake up with a smile....and its sunny even if its raining.....

Best wishes

17 kind of sucks because there is more responsibility with family, friends, school and whatever. I would definitely like to be sixteen again. Those were good times...

it is kind of a crappy age.. because you're not exactly a child anymore... you can legally drive... but you still can't buy your own cigarettes. so people don't treat you like a full grown adult.

it sucks... but i'd rather be 17 again than to have all these effing bills piling up and college payments threatening to call the IRS on me if i don't pay them in like a week.
enjoy it while you have it. :)

No, I like it a lot. I like it a lot better than 16. I'm counting down the days though until my 18th birthday and planning to go on a trip.

I hope not. I'm turning 17 in March. Life's been good so far.

Should be!... almost an adult, but not quite. Can drive, but not set your own curfew. Can work, but not take a day off of school.
Just wait until next year, when you can vote and serve your own country, but not drink!
