I'm Talking about a catalytic converter for those people who don't know what a (cat) is

its not really possible, the only way you can do it is to cut it apart and then weld it back together.

You have to remove it. There is too much material inside the convertor not to.

removal is the only answer it is illegal but some shops will do it
