I, personally, was a little offended by the season premire of American Idol because they said Minneapolis was one of the worst. I am from the Minneapolis area and I know people who tried out and were 10 times better than the people on TV. Please, hear me out!! I am a decent singer and I took offense. Anyone else?

I agree with you. I'm not from any of the cities where they held tryouts, but I would take serious offense if they dissed the city I live in. You feel loyalty to your city and you don't want some stupid guy (RYAN!!) on national television telling people that no one in your city can sing. They didn't even show a lot of the good auditions...they only like to show the bad ones, so it seems a lot worse than it is. Don't worry, though. Maybe whoever wins will be from Minneapolis and that'll show them. Love to Minnesota!

You know what they say about bad press, right? Any press is good press. Who was asking questions about Minneapolis two weeks ago? Any time you get a cheesy TV reality show making comments on a city's general population, they're gonna take snap-shots of stereotypes and turn up the volume on those stereotypes. Don't take offense, laugh along with everybody else. Minnasota rocks!
