Make the choice to be happy! Things will only get you down if you let them. God will never give you more than you and He together can't handle! It always helps for me to plan for the future. Set a goal and lay out objectives on how you're going to meet your goal. Plan your future wedding or your dream house. Go to the pet store. Watch a funny movie. Count your blessings! Good luck.

Sorry you're feeling sad. Do something nice to cheer yourself up: rent your favorite movie and stuff your face with pizza, go get a manicure, buy yourself flowers, call your best girlfriend and have a good cry.

But remember: you get what you give. If you feel negative, you'll notice the negative things that happen to you. Be nice to yourself. Focus on the positive. If something bad happens, oh well. Look for all of the good things that happen, too. Even if it's something small, like somebody you don't know smiled at you today, or somebody kind answered your question, look at the people who really care about you, and feel better. Gratitude is very good medicine.

Feel better, and have a good weekend--

I don't think you're depressed, you just need some guidance. You say things go wrong and bad things happen to you, but what about the good things? What bad things are you talking about? Bad things usually happen when we have too much free time on our hands or when we are influenced by friends. Do you go to church? Attending church helps us to feel better inside because I was in your shoes once. I started going to church weekly, and things started to get and feel better. Do you have a boyfriend? Do you have a very good friend you can talk to? Why not talk to a stranger? I told a stranger of my distress and I got good advice. I was comfortable knowing she would not go to any of my friends and tell because, yes...a stranger.

You want to make yourself happy, but you should try making others happy and you in turn will be happy. If you make an extra effort to be kind to someone, the peace you will have inside will be priceless. Stress is something we all have, rich or poor. Good luck!

DO something.

Here, pick one:

1. Write a journal (or web page or word document) about a political or social cause you feel strongly about and what should be done.

2. Buy some beads and make a bracelet and/or necklace.

3. Call a friend and work out, play basketball, or play tennis.

4. Do a sudoku or crossword puzzle. Pick a HARD one.

5. Make a web page on myspace, yahoo, or AOL.

6. Write a letter to a family member, boyfriend, or friend. Tell them all the qualities you admire about them that you haven't told them in person.

In 4 hours, pick me as best answer and tell me which one you picked and how it gave you a sense of accomplishment.

I usually feel like that sometimes, Like I'm sad all of sudden and it's strange. You can do things to make yourslef happy but that "bad" thing might stay on your head. First talk to someone about it or go over it yourself, and try to make it better in some way. Then go enjoy yourself so that there's nothing on your mind. Eat ice cream, pig out, go see your friends, do whatever makes you happy. While that "bad" whatever it is, may still be on your mind, hopefully these suggestions did something to ease your worry.

Take care. Be happy.

This is normal. When you reach that age in your teens, even when you're a preteen, you get more emotional because of your hormones, and a lot of kids can get sad a lot.
Don't let this ruin your life!
Hang out with your friends. Have a sleepover. Laugh. Friends and laughter are the best stress relievers.
Trust yourself, and trust your friends.
Let yourself make mistakes, but learn from them. Keep a journal, listen to music, get involved in activities you love.
You'll feel better soon, I promise. =D

Depressed is kind of when you feel like lying in bed doing nothing and feeling sad and you just don't really care what happens to you anymore and everything that you used to like don't matter to you. It's kind of scary when you're depressed because you don't want to feel like that anymore but can't help it. Go listen to some upbeat dance music and just relax. Go have a good cry. Everything wrong will be right again soon. =)

Talk to someone about it. It doesn't even have to be a counselor or anything. I had a few moths where I was really depressed and I just cried all the time and lost a ton of weight and one of my friends just took care of me and now I'm not perfect but I'm doing much better. I really don't know what I would have done without him.

I have the same exact problem. I havent figured out a sure-fire way to fix it or to find out the actual source, but I always surround myself with someone I know can cheer me up that i want to hang around with, or pop in my favorite movie and pamper myself. I try to make myself feel special even if no one else can. Also try doing something you want to do or start a new project (painting, fixing something up, etc) it will keep your mind off of it. I am switching bedrooms at my home so I am getting things together and decorating it in my mind to keep myself off the things that are bringing me down. Make lists and plans of things you have always wanted to do, or goals you want to achieve soon, and start checking those off by doing them. YOu may find something you never thought you would do, and something fun to do to keep you out of these days that I have had as well. As soon as you begin dwelling on something, find something that may cheer you up.....good luck and feel better, everyone gets depressed every so often...with people diagnosed like me, it's a little harder to talk yourself into doing something that can cheer you up, so while you can do that. Surround yourself with people who care!
