In a lot of ways, he got shafted in the last election. In a lot of ways, he also had a plastic personality.

McCain got as bad or worse treatment in the 2000 primaries, but respect for him actually increased after his defeat. Kerry doesn't have near the same character.

Al Gore could possibly bounce back (Nixon bounced back from a similar defeat to Kennedy), but I don't think Kerry ever will.

Edit: Besides, there are some people gullible enough to actually still believe those Swift Boat ads. While I may not be a Kerry fan, those were nearly as disgusting as the ads against McCain in the South Carolina primaries. The 'fellow officer' who claimed Kerry won one of his medals under false pretenses, then hemmed and hawed when it was pointed out he won a medal for the same battle had to top the list of disgusting personalities in those Swift Boat ads.

bush won because he is way better than kerry or gore i know people are likeing dems now but even they wouldnt vote for kerry he would be a horrible president
