I don't think you have to be from another country to answer this question, maybe have been to another country would be good enough. Looking at American's through their eyes.

I could give you negative and positive attributes of Americans depending on my mood.

I will say this though, America (however many problems) is still the greatest country in the world and all other countries resent us for that. I do believe that some American's are complacent in this attitude and think the gap between us and the next best country is a lot bigger than it actually is. But until someone proves otherwise, we are the best . < Period

i live in n ireland and have seen many tough times i feel safe here though. one place i would love to visit but would never dare is the usa. theres just so much bad press, school murders serial killers, serial rapists, gang culture, the ss, all that scares the s h i t outta me. this is awful i know but i think some of americas society is neglected, the trailer trash, i believe they are refered too. its these people who have poor living conditions, poor education, and are being dragged up instead of brought up, that need all the help this so called great nation has. but they very often seem to be forgotten and so in answer to your question i would describe an american as crazy, all classes .now you will prop track me down and murder me and my family in our sleep, in true amerian tradition

I am an American, but I do think most Americans tend to be arrogant and ignorant when looking at the rest of the world.

I am an American and in reading your answers-I can't believe how people think we are-they are so misinformed. We need to do something to change the attitudes of these people.
