I thought Republicans stood for family values. If massive overdrinking and Wild Sex parties represent moral values, I guess I must have misunderstood my Sunday School teacher when I was a boy.

Underage drinking, exploiting women, hiring strippers, breaking school and team rules -- those ARE Bush Christian values.

Republicans love to pay lip service to family values, but when they see a chance to have their racist attitudes reinforced, those values take a backseat. The fact that one of the Duke students had charges from an earlier crime reinstated for attacking a homosexual makes them true heroes in the eyes of the Right.

That being said...the DA's conduct in this case has been truly criminal.

i do not realize why the perfect guy (the GROOM's attendant) is coming to the bride's bachelorette celebration, gay or no longer. besides the undeniable fact that it appears like he's already bent on attending, so only say, "howdy Joe, thanks a lot on your help. i imagine it truly is each little thing we choose - see you on Friday!" And if he keeps to do issues, only enable it bypass. it truly is not properly worth arguing over. The bride is going to be surrounded by pals and can want to have an astounding time. yet when the maid of honor and perfect guy are pissed at one yet another all evening, she will experience awful. Be the bigger man or woman. do not sweat the small stuff.

I'm not at all sure what politics have to do with this. If Nifong did it to get elected, thats not a particular partys' point of view...its Nifongs, and he obviously didn't care about the law. If he charged those young men because she was black, and he wanted to be a 'champion' to the black members of his county, then he did no one any favors.
Young and old, Democrat and Republican, strippers and parties are part of youthful goings on. When else are you going to kick up your heels? The hypocrisy doesn't begin until later on, when they have families of their own.

Republicans praised the students? Really? Hmmm... got a source for that?

But the fact that we did not think them guilty of the crimes they were accused of, and found their treatment by the school, by the liberals on the faculty, and by the criminal conduct of the prosecutor, does not mean we "praised" them or were "obsessed" with "praising" them.

Using such charged words makes me believe you're just another idiot liberal tweak who cannot discern a burro from a burrow.

Some of the Duke players were Democrats. A wild accusation has ruined many people's lives. This should have no party affliation. Obviously you'd rather see people go to jail unjustly.

Lets see:

A woman who claims rape with absolutely no hard evidence, a DA who doesn't even do a proper investigation or talks with the alleged victim until over a year later, DNA evidence convently left out.

A Wild Sex party with no sex? Just strippers?

Try a mob wanting to lynch someone and the DA up for re election.

I'm a Republican who drinks all the time. I don't care what other people's values are either. Just stay out of my wallet.

But what should Republicans be doing? Praising that race baiting corrupt DA and that lying sleazeball of a girl who ruined their lives? Not hardly

Why did Duke University so eagerly throw them under a bus before any evidence was even presented? The liberal media profiled them as guilty rapist just because they were white.

I haven't heard any "praise" for them. I have heard a LOT of people calling for justice. It's not illegal to host a kegger, or to hire a stripper, or to drink to excess. That's what most of us did in college. What IS illegal is filing a false police report and accusing people of something which demonstrably did NOT take place.
