I'm supposed to be a capricorn but it doesnt seem to fit, any explanations?

The sun sign is often not the most important sign in astrology. Try a vedic astrologer, who will place more importance on the sign that was rising when you were born, and the planet that ruled the house that sign was rising in. You'll need to know the exact time of your birth. If you can, ask your mom, because her memory will likely be more accurate than the birth certificate time, but if you only have the time from your birth certificate, a good astrologer will be able to work with it.

No matter what type of astrology you use, and no matter how gifted the astrologer is, your birth chart can only reflect how things were when you came into this life. You've probably made a few choices since then--and all those choices change who you are, so that's another reason your birth chart might not feel very accurate to you.

I don't really believe in this stuff, so my first reason is that it is a bunch of bunk. But that's no fun, so let's pretend like this horoscope stuff IS true for the sake of discussion.

Many things affect you- not just your sun sign. The popular horoscopes in the newspaper and the "sign" like capricorn or whatever is just from what house the sun was in when you were born. It doesn't take into account where the moon was and the other planets, etc. All of this is determined by your exact location and exact time of your birth. You'd have to get your horoscope chart done by someone who can interpret these things to really answer your question, but you can access star charts for the time and place of your birth online. From there, you can read about how different stars in different houses should affect your personality. If you are really interested, do a google search.

Astrology is complex. Unlike Horoscopes, which only take into account your day of birth, are generalizations of the SUN SIGN ONLY. A natal/birth chart composed of your date of birth, time of birth, and location depicts all the planets in their signs on that particular day at that particular moment which makes you, YOU. In other words, if you have strong aspects with other planets to your Sun, it shades or affects the Sun's traditional meaning. An example: You're a Capricorn Sun, supposed to be "old" when their young, extremely responsible, hard working, serious in demeanor, and say you're Moon (which represents emotions) is in Scorpio along with Neptune in Scorpio (the higher octave of love) situated in the First House, that makes you appear and emote MORE LIKE A SCORPIO than a Capricorn though your dharma or what you came here for is to work out the Capricorn energy. At times people born on the cusp have are a mixture of two signs and might not seem to have the traits of any one sign. Capricorns and Aquarious are almost opposites. I hope you have the best traits of both the signs. Good Luck.
