In one word No. It is like any other form of sex. If it is done right with a person who is knowledgable about safe sex practises that also involve how to prepare for anal sex, then no, its not bad.
Often you might see websites stating that it is a "high-risk behaviour", but then so is sharing needles. So, if people are educated about their own bodies, and about safe sex practises (which most people are, and therefore if they choose to make a conscious decision to not follow safe sex practises that is their right to choose).
So, the only way it could be bad would be if people are not educated about safe sex practises and/or are not in control of their capacity to know not only there own body but how to communicate with their sexual partner or partner(s).

Most kinds of sexual contact can potentially be "bad" for you. There are certain and particular risks associates with anal sex just like there are with vaginal and oral sex.

Anal sex is not bad if done correctly. Research shows that men whose prostate is regularly massaged have lower incidents of prostate cancer.

The sex itself isnt bad for you, but without protection there is the risk of contracting a sexually transmitted disease, just like with any unprotected sexual act. Also, without lubrication, there is the potential of minor tearing.
