What's the difference you ask???
An affair is usually on-going with one specific person for months, even years and such.
Cheating is more like one night standish, even tho an affair is the act of cheating.

Having an affair.
Let me elaborate... First of all nobody is perfect. I can see forgiving someone for a single affair.
If it was a single affair with many different women... then there is a problem.
If it was something going on with a single person for a lengthy time, then I would assume he knew better, and his butt would be gone!

least likely to forgive him for an affair. with cheating, alot of times its more like a caught up in the moment type thing, usually a one night stand. an affair is worse because you are cheating over and over again, so you pretty much have no excuse after that!

Most likely the affair..... I could not be with someone who was with another woman. I can not stand it when people lie and it would eat me up and I would not we a good wife any more so I might as well get out while I can.

I would have a problem with the affair aspect.
But I dont worry about it much, my hubby has been having one for 2 yrs and I figure if he is gonna leave me for her, he'll have to take all the baggage that comes along with her so his deal...I also know that I am a better woman than she is so I can handle

Well if he had a one night stand i would stay away from him for alittle while (like being sperated) to see if he knows what he did was wrong but if it was an affair it would be complety over! (it also depeneds on what he did when he cheated if he just kissed her no big, but if he had sex with her thats a onther story!)

cheating.....because an affair would be that the guy just lost love for me and gained love for someone else. cheating would mean that he never cared about me in the first place, he was just in it for the s e x.

Maybe neither, but I could forgive more easily the one night stand. The idea of him lying to me over and over again drives me a little nuts, more than the fact that he would have been sleeping with someone else.

I could totally deal with him having a one-night stand better than I could if he had a long term affair..one is for sex, the other is for love...if he doesnt love me anymore, he should be with her...however, might work out well of we each had him part-time...kick his as.s to her house when he steps all over my last nerve...
