Your mobile phone can only be tracked by the police. If they have a mobile phone number they can find out the service provider and get your address from them - but only if you are on a contract, not if you are pay as you go.
They can also track where a mobile phone is at a given time but they would only do this in the case of a kidnapping for example when tracing the phone could mean the difference between life and death for someone. They have very strict rules governing this and have to give a very, very good reason for why they have done it so it is very rarely done.
Giving your mobile phone number to someone will not enable them to find your address.

your phone first have to be GPS capable. They is the only way to really "track you" Then you have to have it enabled for that to work. Otherwise FCC regulations require that all phone be E911 enhanced, which is tracking capable. so yes. todays newer phones can be tracked. Older analog and older digital phones can not. You can triangulate an area based on the sector of the cell site you are use, but it's not very accurate. Todays newer phone can actually be turned on at the switch and listened to by some with a subpoena.

There is a website which allows anybody to do this -- it's mainly for parents who need to see where there children are -- i can't remember what the site is called but try typing in "track mobile number" on a search engine.
Hope this helps xxx

Just above Scarborough is a place called Fillingdale. There the NSA has a listening post (the big white domes) they are part of a telecommunications surveillance system that protects us from attack. Yes your mobile can be traced, recorded, and located.

I'll give you a clue: you can on your mobile phone request where the nearest bar is located. It will then send you a text telling you where a bar is located, not necessarily the nearest. This might be because not all bars are listed on its list.
What they cannot do is determine who made or received the call.
