what is Wi Fi? and what does it do for my computer?

wi fi is wireless internet. it does exactly what it sounds like it would do.

you have to pay for the service, but most new laptops can use it.

its a wireless connection. Basically you "piggyback" on someone elses signal floating around the air (as my sister does - she has no Internet providor - she just finds a wi-fi signal in the air and taps into it)
