yes, I believe you can.............I've had people bathe their guinea pigs with Pantene shampoo( which I wouldn't recommend)...but Johnson and Johnson is gentle and isn't too hard on anything, just make sure it doesn't come in "forumlas for extra greasy hair" because that kind would really hurt the balance of natural oils in the guinea pigs hair..........
Good Luck!!!

I wouldn't recommend using Johnson & Johnson baby wash on your Guinea Pig. It is meant to be used on a infants skin not hair, so it could mess with your guinea pig's fur. Baby shampoo is good, or even a small animal shampoo you can get from a pet store. I use mostly the baby shampoo on my guinea pigs when I run out of small animal shampoo. Never had any problems, with it at all. I prefer the baby shampoo then the small animal one, cause my girls have a little case of dry skin in the winter time and the baby shampoo helps a lot with that. I asked my vet about it and she said it is fine to use baby shampoo. But I really wouldn't use the baby wash on him/her, cause that is a kinda an all around use on a baby and may bother your guinea pig's skin and fur.
Hope this helps.

hm, i dun think u ought to bathe ur pig with J&J baby wash.
i used to bathe my piggies with small packets of sample shampoos. however, i dun think tat it was good for their fur. later on, i went to the city to get some proper guinea pig/bunny shampoo. i think it would be safer to use those.
among my 4 piggies only one fellow enjoyed bathing so i dun advise u to bathe them really often like one a week. i think about once a month is fine.
another alternative would be to use the guinea pig/bunny powder shampoo which u can find in major pet stores.
hope i helped !~ ;p

Yes you can use Johnson's baby wash ,
do not bath him too often (once per month is fine )
Have everything ready for his bath ,
warm towel
, water ready in bowl ,just warm
( test on your inner arm first )
not too deep ( up to his tummy )
stand him in water ,
hold him with one hand under tummy
wash his face and ears with a damp flannel
do not ever immerse his head !
wet his body
then gently rub in some baby wash
do things gently and calmly
Then rinse well .
make sure you hold/ support him at all times
.
Lift him out into warmed towel
dry him well and put into a clean indoor cage ,.
You will have a supa clean piggy there !!
Good luck

No it truly is not ok. products for people are some distance too reliable for the comfortable epidermis of a guinea pig. Why are you bathing them besides? Guinea pigs do no longer favor to be bathed. it truly is really annoying for them and can want to dry out their epidermis. They sparkling themselves. you should provide up bathing them.

A bunny shampoo would be a much better choice. Human shampoos and soaps, even those designed for infants, are too harsh and can dry out your guinea pig's skin.

J&J is fine but the best shampoo for its skin and the oils in its hair is bunny shampoo. Any pet store sould have. Mine are over 6 years old and love it.

Yes you can but the poor little thing will get cold and afraid. I don't think he will like you much for it.

Probably, just be careful.
At least it will smell nice (for about 5 minutes!)
