As it was tea, it will likely stain. I'd leave it to air, as open as possible, over a radiator for a few days. The pages will probably do a little wrinkly and discoloured, but it will be readable. It seems that a lot of people don't treat books with respect, I was raised to be careful with things, especially other peoples things. What book was it?

You can just leave it out you will dry it up. I am sorry but the tea stain will not come out.
If you want the stain out you can ask the guest to buy you another copy of the same book.
Hope my advice will work!

I don't think the book will ever be perfect again,I find that if you dry it too quickly the pages become wavy, too slowly they begin to discolour.
