Integrate (x + 1)e^(x² + 2x)dx

Let
u = e^(x² + 2x)
du = (2x + 2)e^(x² + 2x)dx
du/2 = (x + 1)e^(x² + 2x)dx

∫(x + 1)e^(x² + 2x)dx = ∫(du/2) = u/2 + C = e^(x² + 2x)/2 + C

(x+1)e^(x^2+2x)
using u substitution, as u=x^2+2x, then du=(2x+2)dx
gives:
(1/2)du e^u
integral of e^u is e^u so,
integral = (1/2)e^u + c
= (1/2)e^(x^2+2x) + C
