I don't even care to have a long term relationship now. NO, it isn't because I haven't found the right one because I believe there is no right PERFECT mate....The thought of marriage makes me want to puke. The thought of giving up my freedom makes me want to puke. The thought of children is enough to make me gag and the thought of losing all I have worked for to a golddigger is enough NEVER to step foot in marriage.....SO, back to the question...AM I OK in thinking this? I can't be alone in this way of thinking.

You are not alone, although I do not share your opinions of marriage and child-rearing, there are a growing number of others who do. And furthermore, if you truly feel that way about it then you have no business even trying, since you would just hurt other people. Although if you do want companionship or sex, make sure you are upfront about these feelings from the beginning. Furthermore, a lot of young men feel this way until they meet that "right girl" I have seen it happen, guys who are all anti-marriage and family finding a girl that makes them want to try on tuxedos and start planning a nursery. There's nothing wrong with you, you just have a different opinion from the majority.

Why wouldn't it be ok? It's a free country. As long as you're not hurting anyone, you can think any way you wish. Everything goes! (The thought of children makes me gag, too; but I've always liked to be married.)

It is ok not to wan to get married. I do however suggest that before getting into a long term relationship that you discuss this with your partner. This way there are no unrealistic expectations later. Good luck.

perfectly normal, I feel sort of the same way. I like my freedom to much and never liked people bossing me around and I'm a bit on the selfish side (but this is my choice and nobodys business). I'll be single forever myself and loving it.

Marriage and children aren't for everyone.
It's perfectly fine for you not to get married.
Society places these expectations on us
because they feel we are "supposed" to
be married and have kids.
I personally want neither.

we all have our own belief systems and road maps in life leading us down one road or the other, we all feel we are right, based on our realities.yes u are fine to feel this way and there are some men due to things that happened in their past, that are gun shy and who don't feel the need to marry, due to some fear of it. u are entitled to your realities and what makes u comfortable in life.

I personally don't think that way, but there are many people who do. Good for you. You have worked hard for what you have, and you want to keep it, there is NOTHING wrong with that.
Good luck to you.

You can do whatever you like. It appears that you put more emphasis on things than on people so in your case you should stay single.

Sure it's ok, but alone is exactly how you will be. Some people are ok with that.
