I am 5'6" and I was 165 pounds when I got married, I thought I was huge then. Now after 4 1/2 years and three pregnancies I weigh 185 and that's after a 20 pound weight loss, I think 165 wasn't too bad now. But my goal is to get down to 150 first and then maybe more later, I want to be a size 8. Right now I'm nursing so weight loss is harder and can't be extreme. But when I'm done nursing my main game plan will be following the 6 week body makeover by Michael Thurmond. You eat 6 times a day, 3 meals and 3 snacks. The point is eating more of the right foods more often, to up your metabolism. Your main food choices are lean meats like chicken and turkey and fish, carbs like rice and potatoes, and then fruits and vegetables, and drinking water. Walking or biking 30 to 60 minutes every day is best, jogging is okay too. Also if you learn to do targeted stregth training for your problem areas twice a week, to only build muscles in those areas you need them. Sounds like you are doing pretty good, but limiting your meals could be hurting your progress instead of helping. Because if your body thinks it is starving it will hold on tighter to the fat and make it harder to burn.

I think its a very good thing you are doing to keep your body healthy! I am 16, and my mom is a nutritionist, and im very well informed. I think you are on the right track, but there might be a few mistakes you are making. When you run, it takes 12 minutes before your body starts burning calories. So if you are only running for 10 minutes, you are not burning calories. ( even if you run twice a day). And also some people are just bigger boned and you have a different body type, that 130 might be unreasonable. I am in perfect health, 5' 4'', and 120! So you might want to shoot for 140!Everything else though, is perfect. Good Luck!

your doing great...i had the same problem when i was 15...i was 5'6 and weight 210 though and lost 85 ponds in 10months...its not easy, but u need to do more on your stomach do 3 sets of 25 on your stomach and sides just the once a day...that would be 225 all together...i know this might seem like alot, but really it isnt...try to cut red meat out...that really helped me...and eat more like 6 small meals a day not 3 small meals...it will boost your metabolisim...yes drink lots of water thats a big one. U r doing great ..i used to swim 4 night a week too, i found it really worked...if u ever need to talk about it feel free to email or IM me...Good Luck...I know its tough but keep it up.
Oh ya now I am 5'9 and after 2 children in 18months of each other I am 155pounds

Sounds like you're on the right track! Be sure to eat plenty of vegetables and make sure you're getting enough iron and protein. Take a multivitamin to make sure you're getting enough of the essentials.
Healthy, sustainable weight loss takes time, so just keep at this healthy lifestyle and the pounds will melt off a little at a time - and stay gone.
Some other little tips I've heard are to use vinegarette on salads, because about 2 tblspoons of vinegar a day can help your body balance its blood sugar; also , 1/4 tsp cinnamon twice a day (you can buy pills if you can't eat that much) helps your body use its insulin according to some studies.

Sounds like you are doing everything right. The only suggestion I have is to watch what kinds of foods you are eating. Stay away from fast food, fried food, and too many sweets. Eat LOTS of veggies and fruit.
Look for Low Calorie, Low Fat, and HIGH FIBER foods. Fiber helps you lose weight and makes you feel fuller.
Don't just focus on your weight. Think more about what jean size you want to be, and make that your goal. Remember, muscle weighs more than fat, and judging by all the activity you do, you are probably pretty muscular.

Sounds like you're on the right track, although you don't have to only eat 3 meals a day. If you want you can eat like every 4 hours, but only very small portions, that way you eat only a little but more often so it will help keep you going/moving etc.
Great job at getting in shape and taking care of your body!! =D
Good luck with it all ^_^

i'm a freshman 5'3 and 120lb. i use to be sort of a tomboy and i would wear baggy clothes and was a bit over weight. i remember i just suddenly in 7th grade i like matured and started wearing girly clothes. but then i relized how i looked. i love food and i knew i wouldn't be able to give away that. so i went to the gym in the morning on weekends, and i spent my 7th & 8th grade summers there too. eventually i just ate less and less and i got more in shape. i'm not anerexic, god i could never not eat, i feel confident and happy.
your plan seems really good. just remember when you go jogging everyday that you really only start to lose calories after you run for more than 10min. good luck

That sounds good, but you should make sure that your plan is somthing that you can stick with after you loose the weight, because if you don't then you will gain it all back. Avoid transfats, and in most foods you eat try to keep the fat under 30 percent (unless its somthing like nuts that is supposed to have alot of fat in it.) If you feel uneasy about anything, then you should talk to a nutritionist.
goodluck.

Sounds like you are doing great. But remember to keep it safe, dont over work yourself and keep eating healthy foods. Dont get discouraged if you lose alot of weight the first couple weeks then after that arent losing as much...you'll get there. It takes time but if you set your mind to it and go about it the right way...which sounds like you are then you'll get there. Good luck hun!
