I'd say he made the right choice because that 10 million dollars is guaranteed whereas in football if he were to sign a 10 million dollar contract only his signing bonus would be guaranteed. Plus he will have a chance to play at Wrigley field. If he were to try football and blow out his knee or hurt his arm etc. then it would ruin his baseball career and prolly void an otherwise gauranteed contract.

Jeff said that if likes baseball better. Better for him to go with his heart. and better not to get his brains and body beat up in the NFL - no sense even trying. He can have a healthier and happier life playing baseball, not to mention making big bucks too. More power to him.

The chance he gets injured in baseball is much less then that in football.. if he truly likes baseball more it seems he made the correct decision..i mean ethier way he would makes tons of money, if it was me i would have gone with football just because with the cubs he may be stuck in the minor leagues for several years.

A pitcher won't last long doing both sports and then he'll be out of baseball where, apparently, his heart is in it the most and he has the best chance at fattening that pocketbook for a long time.
But I'm a Cubs fan so I like his decision.

Two words: Guaranteed Money.
That's what he gets in the MLB.
That and he's less likely to walk with a limp for the rest of his life, once his career is over.
