Wow! what a great idea! why not call a local newspaper and ask the possibilities of obtaining one... may have to settle for a copy of one on microfilm from the papers' archives... i know they "keep" copies of them in one form or another...... maybe one on a CD? good luck..

go to the New York Times Online page. You can see there the front page of the date you want and maybe you can get a reprint of that day's edition.

try a big library espically a college library. they keep old newspapers on microfilm and some belong to an information network that will help you locate it even if they do not have it

i know for sure most newspapers keep archives of back issues, or they keep copies of issues in places and such.

maybe if u found a couple (good luck!) then possibly one from his birthplace? that'd be neat!

call up the newpaper printer.

this is a good idea!
