Staged, but who really cares.

I'm always surprised at how many times this question comes up even though it's been answered millions of times. I am a play by play guy for a local wrestling promotion here in Oregon. Let me give my input. Professional wrestling is a collective of stuntmen. Just like stuntmen, they are trained how to take falls or bumps as they are called so they will not get hurt. Things do happen and people do get hurt when a move goes wrong but its a dangerous place to be, I've been knocked around numerous times.

Wrestling is theatre featuring stuntment. Just like the WWE warning, it is entertainment but the action is real and can get dangerous

My answer is the best. IT is staged but with wrong moves. its real and fake because the blood is real and i have seen some videos of wrestlers who moved out the way of a turnbuckle jump and he died after that but it was 30 minutes later thought. As i said before wrestlers have died have and have serious injurys when the stage is messed up

Pro wrestling is 90% real. All televised wrestling shows are fake, TNA and WWE alike. The wrestling is real, and the blood is too, but they way they are bloodied is not. They stage it by writing a script, who wins and who loses, what moves to do, and all that.

The outcome of the matches is always pre determined, and the main spots in the match are worked out before hand but there is still a lot which is spur of the moment stuff going on during a match, and of course things do go horribly wrong sometimes!

Yes it's entertainment but the wrestlers still put themselves through loads of pain taking all those bumps!!

It looks staged to me, but it's still fun to watch.

matches are scripted so storylines and matches outcomes are known beforehand. punches and kicks are fake. they practice falling so it does not hurt as much, most of the time it hurts somewhat but not as bad as when me and you fall. the blood is real, but before the fight they use razors to make small cuts so when they are hit they start bleeding.

they just need to know how to fall properly and soften their landings i reckon and with weapons they put thir hands in front of their faces so it doesn't actually hit them injuries also occur when one of them does a move wrong or screws up the hit from a weapon
