...and we both want children. We are getting married in May. Do you think it would be best to wait until after we are married to start trying to conceive?

Your wedding day is about you and your fiancee (mainly you:) Why add in morning sickness, an expanding waistline, extreme exhaustion, etc? Maybe you can try to concieve on your wedding night or honeymoon. As a single mom with 2 kids and 12 weeks pregnant and getting married in Feb.. I can tell that while Im thrilled Im pregnant with my fiance's baby.. I'd rather not be pregnant on my wedding day. Good Luck and Congrats!

it really depends how you both feel..you may want to enjoy marriage a little bit before welcoming a baby, but if you guys have been together for awhile and know that your going to have kids soon after anyways, then i dont see a problem with it. if you do get pregnant right away, just remember how your going to fit into your wedding dress, not to mention being sick on your honeymoon, or the wedding in general! ive been married for a year, and im glad that we didnt get pregnant right away, because ive enjoyed this time getting to know my husband even more..marriage really does change the way you look at that person..its like a whole new relationship level..absolutely amazing. im sure you're gut feeling will tell you what is right..good luck and congrats on your upcoming wedding!!

Well first off, you don't say how long you have been together...babies are great and a wonderful way to cement a good marriage, but how much time have you spent together with just each other? Making sure that the two of you have a solid foundation to build on first will enrich the lives of both you and your children...Enjoy each other for a while, I don't think you'll regret it...

I would start trying now by the time you two get married you might of just concieve, it takes time to make a baby so I would say it is up to you.

I think you should take a bit of time to enjoy your marriage and each other before you add more to your family. Make sure you have a strong foundation before you start building on top of it. This will make your family much stronger.

Personally, I wouldn't want to have morning sickness through my wedding ceremony or honeymoon. Just wait it out and start on your wedding night!

May isn't that far away. Just wait it out. It definitely couldn't hurt to have everything else out of the way, first.

Besides...it would be fun to try to make one ON your wedding night!

Yes, wait until after the wedding...the last thing you want is morning sickness on your wedding day

yes, some lucky people get pregnant straight away and that could affect your dress, I couldnt fit in my clothes from 5 weeks of pregnancy. Also morning sickness and fatigue could really spoil your big day.
