Sonny Rollins is the king. He disappeared for about twenty years but has been touring the past couple. Catch him at a summer festival if you can - the man is 74 now and can still blow like a Sunset Stripper.

Some of my favorites include Gato Barbiere, Candy Dulfer, and David Sanborn. Oh, Kenny G of course.... Oh yeah, and our former President Bill Clinton!

if your interested in alto be careful with artists like john coltrane and sonny rollins.. theyre a few of my personal favorite tenor players, unfortunately for you they don't play alto.

as for alto, i'd recommend candy dulfer, charlie parker, etc.

if you'd like to go to www.pandora.com and put in charlie parker, it will come up with a lot of other similar artists and songs you can listen to to see what you like.. something i highly recommend.
