Why can't we just leave black people alone?

I see atleast 10 racist questions against black people everyday in the general cultures and groups section. Spread love not hate.

I'm all for that. I am sick of all these racist trolls polluting the content of this site with their hateful remarks.

I suggest that if no one responds to them, they'll go somewhere else. But when they get lots of angry responses, it gives them the attention they're seeking. The attention is the air they need to keep the flame of hatred alive.

Ignore the racists. Don't respond to them Spread the word.

Let me tell you something. I grew up in the 60s during a very violent time in history. I, as a white person, have been beaten up by a gang of black kids in Trenton, NJ. I was assaulted by a black kid during the Hough Avenue riots of E. Cleveland in 1966, and I was robbed at gunpoint just as little as 5 years ago, again by a black kid.

Now, let me say this - when I bought a new house, my Realtor was a young black man about 20 y/o. He was so thoughtful and helpful that we became very close friends in spite of the fact he was younger than my own sons. In fact, my whole family got to be friends with his whole family.

When I was in the Army, I got into a little "scuffle" with one of the Korean populace. Out of the four guys who were with me that night only ONE had my back - the black guy! The other three left so fast they broke the sound barrier!

When my favorite aunt was dying, her best friend, a black woman, was with her nearly every single day. When she passed away, the rest of my family "adopted" her as a best friend as well.

My point to all of this is this - there is good and bad in every race, color, religion or gender. We, here in America, are a literal "melting pot" of individuals from around the world. That is what makes us strong. Racist bigotry and prejudice dilutes that strength.

I agree, but for everyone in general, because there are comments made about other races as well, like Mexicans, or Middle Easterns who are Muslim, even white people. So, I'd say leave the who racial slurs at home to everyone.

I am so sick of people saying the only people that get racist comments are black people. Whites, Indians, Muslims, Jews...they all get it too.

Maybe if everyone could realize that, the s.h.i.t could be more fair. People that are black that WERE ACTUALLY slaves had a right to be upset, we are way past that (slavery) and black people get more advantages now than ever.

If we all want equal opportunity (and equal CRITICISM), everything else needs to be equal as well.

Blacks have a "dark" history, in America as well as in Africa. Nowdays when Southafrica is liberated things turned to the worst. Most countrys that have been colonies to Europe did have food and safety, when they are free and can do what they want they do just that. I love all people, but this is also a site for answers, sometimes i think this racial thing have gotten out of hand, we are different, have different manners, different IQ and different style to go with it. That does NOT make me a pregedist att all, i do not assume your a robber cause your black.

Well said. Make love not war! Skin colour is something you're born with, and since we have no control over it we should celebrate each others differences, not hate them.

AMEN! thank you!!! racism in any form is wrong. that is one thing that drives me INSANE! i'm a server and i hear servers all the time complain when black people get sat at their sections they claim they're bad tippers etc. i tell them it's because they can tell when you have a negative attitude just like anyone else can. i'm a single mother of two and get the negative attitude all of the time (they assume i'm a young single mother i'm not going to tip good) so when i get someone who is genuinely treating me the way they treat everyone else i tip much better. it goes the same way with black people who sit at those servers' tables. i tell them all of the time i rarely get bad tips from black people and it's because i truly treat them the same way i treat everyone else that sits at my tables. in fact i get rather large tips a lot of times off of people who everyone else i work with thinks will tip bad and it's because of my positive attitude towards everyone. it amazes me that in 2007 there is still so much hate over a freakin skin tone!!

yea i wish they would stop too and the majority i see spreading hate is white people on here which is very sad to me i met some cool white people but the ones on here give the idea all whites are racists when there not
