I do not believe so. Although - the wax can get dusty... If it is a really crappy kinda crayon - like Roseart - the outside wax might start turning a different colour - but only a slight white - and that is in about 6 - 10 years time.
I believe the only way to really have a bad crayon would be if it melted - right?

Yes - crayons will go bad when you leave them on the dash of the car on a very hot day.
Seriously - depending on the composition of the crayons; waxes, other things, and the environment they are kept in, I am sure the components can start to break down.

I think there's a Fox Network show in this question somewhere: "When Crayons Go Bad."
Unless they melt, I don't think crayons ever spoil.

No. Because of the waxy base they last practically forever. Just last week in my attic I found a cigar box from the 1920's and the most unspolied thing in there? Crayons!
Gorgeous box:

I dont think so, they are only made of wax and dye. Candles don't go bad do they? Its the same concept. They might go bad after like 10 years or something lol/

I have a unused box of crayola crayons that my grandmother had bought when I was in headstart that was back in 1988-89. They are still working today as if they were just bought today.

No, crayons are just wax and color. They don't go bad.

No, they don't technically go bad, but they will melt if you leave them in a hot environment, for instance, a car, and they will most likely cool in a deformed shape. Hope I helped.
