A lot of women I know, say their husbands didn't want to get married at first but later said they were glad they did. Is this the norm for men? If they say they don't want to, but marry anyway, does this prove they really love her? Men, your response would be appreciated.

I must not bother me too much. I was married for 13 years the first time and my current marriage has last 15. So, if the right girl comes around. What's the hold up?
By the way. My wife is my best friend too and I'm not just saying that to say that.

I never had cold feet when I married my wife and she has
kept them warm so far for 20yrs. Some men probably
hesitate because of the responsibilities involved or are
they able to support financially to take care of someone
else. Many reasons I'm sure as opinions vary from man
to man: if a man says he does not want to get married
but goes ahead anyway that is not to say it is proof that
he really loves her because he got married anyway. The
proof that he loves her will show for the years that they
celebrate their anniversaries.

No not all men are and some women are. I feel it is wrong to pressure anyone into it by any means and no matter if they say they are glad they did. the biggest reasons why they do not seem to last is because people just do not want to be married. there is only two things you can do or should do if you say yes and he says no than leave it at no and look elsewhere or wait and build a strong bond and ask again at a later date because people change their minds often.

I know you said this is for men to answer, but I married a man who had cold feet at first. He said he felt there was no need to get married, but that he loved me and if getting married would make me happy then we would. Well we did and we couldn't be happier and he doesn't regret it at all. I feel that putting a woman's happiness ahead of his own shows his love for her.

Well.. I'm not married.. but I do have cold feet with any long term relationships.. it's just the commitment that turns us off... what if we get bored with this chick? I won't want to stick around.. if I'm married, I'm gonna have to either work it out or divorce her.. and that's gonna cost me.. so marriage would be a very serious commitment that involves more than time and energy.

Men marry women hoping they will not change and women marry men hoping they will change.

cold feet is common to either gender. it's part of being human. it's giving up forever a particular kind of freedom. it can be scary, no matter how in love you are.

i would hate to think that a person would marry another if they didn't love them, whether there was a case of cold feet or not.
