ok well i went to radio shack yesterday to buy a router for wireless internet threw out my house, and the guy told me there is this website where u can download something to make your connecting longer, does anyone know the site?

Software expanding the physical range of hardware?
sounds dubious.
And if he was talking speed, that's going to depend on the connected hardware, so that's definitely not getting upped by software

He might have meant a tutorial on several mods you can make on the router that increase it's range (antennae extensions, mostly)- those are out there

I'm not sure if that is true. There are different ranges that the routers come in. Some are about 2 ghz i think and others are about 5. I think that determines how far your range is. Not some website. Hope this helps
