Game was based in space, you built up on an asteroid. You could build various things including missile stations, you had totake over the other asteroids nearby. It was a sim city style game. You played from an isometric point of view and I think it was available on amiga too.

Ill add more notes if i remember anything else about it.

Good suggestions,but much older than starcraft or command and conquer, it was 3.5" disk based.
