Explain to me why some people (mostly christians and other dogmatic religions, islam, etc.). Why are you all so hell bent on keeping your daughters virgins until they are married but do not stress this nearly as hard on your sons. My parents were the same way yet they didn't push for my brother to stay a virgin until he was married. Neither of them were virgins when they got married themselves. I find most of my co-workers are the same way pushing that doctrine on their daughter and not the sons. The sons are have sex with someone's daughter. When I told my dad this he said women are suppose to keep thier legs closed. I said "show me a man who will keep his d!ck in his pants and I will show you a woman who will keep her legs closed. He was shocked, I think because that puts some responsibility on him as a man. What do you think? Do you think that's why people stress for girls to be virgins until they are married and not guys, because that puts responsibility on the men?

Men can't get pregnant but they can impregnate. And no they cannot just claim that they are not the father today if some files for child support the first thing that is done is a paternity paid for by the court.

No I don't use that language all the time but I felt it was needed to make my point. I am not angry I just feel men need to be just as accountable for there actions as women.

Looking like a lady and being a lady are two different things. Also wouldn't you want your son to be a discerning man or would you just want him all over the place looking like a whoremonger

You know, you do seem to have a point. Society doesn't look down on promiscuous men as much as women. That's obvious in the ways we describe them. There are all kinds of words (slut, whore, loose, etc.) to describe women, but men aren't really called these words. They are "pimps" and they "have game", which are seen as possitive things. Actually, male virgins are always being called "gay", because people think that homosexuality is the only reason a man would not want to have sex with a woman, and that's a horrible lesson to be teaching young boys.

I think if people value virginity, then they should speak to BOTH boys and girls. Sex involves two people, so both should be informed!

Girls get pregnant, boys don't. NOT to say that the guy shouldn't be held to the same standard and be forced to take care of the baby too, but HISTORY is what those before us rely on and what their parents taught them, and what their parents taught them, and there was a time that women couldn't wear pants, vote, be out in public in certain areas of town, go in certain shoppes, talk to another man without her hubby present, etc...

There are many cultures that still hold their women to strict standards, yet the men can come and go and hold as many mistresses as they want.

There is a Christian College that I know of in FL that won't allow a male and female student to be seen together without a chaperone or another student. Same college requires the women wear all skirts or dresses- TO THIS DAY!

Boy do I agree with you though- I don't see why women can't love to F*** just as much as men do without being called whores.

What's your miff? I don't know where you got your obvious misinformation, but the Bible speaks to BOTH MEN AND WOMEN about maintaining sexual purity. Fornication applies to both sexes, not just one. Men think they're above or exempt that "rule" because they just can't seem to "keep their ***** in their pants". They're wrong and you have an incorrect assumption. Read before you go blathering, will ya? If anyone chooses not to be chaste or a virgin, it's their choice, and/or problem with all the STDs/STIs around...

Stop being so angry...

The ruling about sex should stand for both sexes.

Historically it is easier to get rid of a wayward son than a daughter (by way of marriage).

I do not understand though why you qualify people as (mostly Christians and other dogmatic religions, Islam, etc.). as far as I am concerned, it could be any caring parent.

Even more puzzling is your anger.

Because when a woman has sex, she might produce offspring that need to be cared for, and when a man has sex, he can claim he's not the father and get out of it. To sum up: because men can't get pregnant.

As terrible as I think this all is, I'm almost certain that's why.

I agree with you,I think since the dawn of time this has been the case...parents want their daughters to be pure..Fathers are so protective over their daughters and they cannot stand the thought of them being sexually active outside of the marriage union..I agree it is a double standard.
