Dress in layers. It would be good if the outermost layer was water proof.

If you don't have any special snow gear, this generally works

Hat

Gloves

T-shirt or long underwear
Sweatshirt or sweater
Winter coat

Long underwear (optional)
Sweatpants
Jeans

What is nice about the sweatpants/jeans combination is that the snow will cake on the outside of the jeans, but the sweatpants keep enough of your body heat in that the snow on your jeans won't melt. You will only get wet once you get back inside and the snow that is sticking to you starts to melt.

I wouldn't recommend staying outside in this outfit for long periods of time, but it should stand up to a couple of hours of sledding.
