I know someone who tore the ACL in their knee, and th surgeon took a part of hamstring muscle and put it where the ACL used to be, very painful and required months of physical therapy, but now he is back to doing all the things he did before getting it hurt.

They can now do remarkable things to the knee joint. If you are have scope surgery, they will not cut you open as much and the healing time will be shorter. All surgeries cause discomfort, but at your age, you should recover very quickly. I would guess that you will have to rehab your leg muscles, but should be able to play basketball again.

My lab/rottie had knee alternative surgical procedure whilst he used to be one million one million/two yrs. He is now 10! The vet must give an explanation for to you the whole lot and ask any questions you continue to have. . They puppy will make amends for the harm and use the opposite three legs. My puppy used to be no longer allowed to make use of stairs for three-four weeks. so he lived downstairs and I had a baby gate around the stairs so he would no longer rise up them. I additionally needed to placed him on leash whilst it used to be time to move out at pass potty. I ended up slumbering downstairs with him until he used to be adequate to make use of the steps. He recovered simply pleasant and used to leap like tigger! Just the beyond yr he began to gradual down seeing that arthritis has set in. But he nonetheless loves to chase the squirrels out of the backyard day-to-day! Think constructive and it's going to figure out well!
