You might consider looking in to legal aid clinics or state sponsored legal services that are based on your income if you think you cannot afford an attorney. You can also save money by making sure when you go to your lawyer's office that you are well prepared. Organize your thoughts, make notes, bring in all pertinent paperwork etc. This will cut down on expenses and will make your visit more profitable.
