It depends on your 'genes'. You might not need to shave till you're 15/16 - or maybe even as late as 18, if you're from a lightly-haired family.
Once other hair starts growing, however, it generally leads to you needing to shave.
Just be glad you're not a friend of mine's brother. After his bosses started complaining about his "5 o'clock shadow" in the early afternoons (suggesting they thought he hadn't shaved at all), he took to having his normal morning shave, then one at lunchtime! If he was going out at night - he had to have a third shave by then to look tidy!!

Every one is different, testosterone levels kick up in people at different ages, but genetics can have a bearing on it as well, you must have noticed, on the beach, the hairy man with lots of hair on his back and chest, and you have probably seen , but,not really noticed men about the same age with no back hair and little on the chest. This is caused by genetics, You may be a hairy guy and need to shave soon, you may be the other type, you will probably be in between.
Also too, if you are fair haired, shaving won't be neceesarily as soon as someone with dark hair.
Need to shave will happen, when it happens...you will tire of it soon enough

Most likely around 16. But don't be in such a hurry to start. I've been shaving since 16 and I'm 44. It's a pain in the butt after a few times and years.

I started shaving when I was 15 but I have 2 brothers in their 20's 30's that still don't have to shave. I wish I had been that lucky I hate shaving.

I am 15 and I don't have a very noticeable mustaches. The same happens at some other guys in my class. It is not the same for everyone. There are many differences between people at the same age.

After puberty...anywhere from 13-16. I hate shaving like most men. Enjoy not having to put your face through that.

I's different for every guy. I have friends that started shaving when they were 11. I didn't start shaving until I was about 19.

convinced, you may shave it. Shaving gained't make it strengthen swifter or harder. it may make it sense stubbly, although that isn't any longer going to modify the way it grows in. i have been shaving my head for over 5 years and that hasn't replaced how the hair has grown lower back.
