Sounds OK for a man but not very inspiring for a woman, white suit would be better.

I love corduroy so I say definitely. I'd've worn a corduroy wedding dress if I'd been able to. You'd have to be careful that you got a good cut though- bad corduroy is REALLY bad. Are you sure about black? Corduroy is great in really dark colours, maybe like aubergine or a proper midnight blue. And I say yes to a pastel shirt. Have a lush wedding!!

You definitely could, but corduroy its a rather "informal" fabric, not to mention a suit in this material will make you look a little bulky. Try to go for the classic groom look, so that you don't look at you pictures in ten years and cringe... :)

It's your wedding and you are free to wear whatever you want. But keep in mind that you may be looking at the pictures one day and wondering "WHAT WAS I THINKING!" There is no set rules for what you can and cannot wear on your wedding day, you would be surprised to find out what people have gotten away with.

Really, weddings are for the bride what is she wearing. You do not want to detract from her.
I would be mad if my groom wore a corduroy suit to the wedding.

I think these days, its not so formal - my husband wore a grey with black flocked leopard print suit for our wedding, but we got married on the beach in St Thomas. He got to pick his suit the way I picked out my gown. To each thier own! Best of Luck!
