Hi there, Today a tech in our workshop fitted spurious cats to a v8 s500 Merc, they were really difficult to fit and although designed for the car were a bad fit and increased the fitting time, once fitted the car was roadtested and the mal function indicator lamp came on, indicating a fault in the eobd, when checked it pointed to the O2 sensors, we checked these sensors and all were ok, the cats are not up to the job and we will have to fit genuine merc catalysts to cure problem.
