deeper than due to how thin models are in magazines. Something dark is going on with those that abuse themselves in this way & use it as a cry for help or attention. Just like cutting, self mutulation.

I do not think that thin models cause eating disorders, they just fuel them. eating disorders weather they are not eating or eating to much is a symptom of illness. until people stop thinking that mental illness is fake, or a cop out, the problem will not stop. This being said... Just like with alc. and cigarettes, we should be taking the proactive approach and give people better role models.

I think they are doing the right thing by setting weight limits. I know girls who look at these modles and say they wished they looked like that. I even have one friend who started smoking so she could lose weight. I think this is a step in the right direction!
