What you dwell upon in your heart and mind is what you get more of in this life. If you think it will have a crappy ending, it will. If you are determined and focused on the positive in your life, that is what you get. Reality is subjective and that's how it works. Try it. Try dwelling upon the positive in your heart and in your mind and see what happens in a week or 2.

Reality is what you have from the day you're born until the day you die. You can deny and discount reality...a lot of people do. If you're smart, you'll appreciate that putting your head in the sand has dangerous downsides. If you don't see the real world coming, it can blindside you big-time.

External reality exists...it really does, it's out there and it isn't going away, just because you want it to. Then there's internal reality, your perceptions, thoughts and feelings and interpretation of real world objects and events. Both realities exist, what's out there, and your personal experience of it. My bias is, the more you accept what's out there, the more your internal version matches what's really going on...the more successful you'll be.

It may not be fair, it may not be easy, but remember that not all reality is grim. Sunsets and sex are real, too. Friends, food and flowers are all a part of reality. Surround yourself with the good stuff and relish it while you can. Make as many great memories as you can. Someday you'll realize this is the best advice anybody ever gave you.
