plastic or cloth feeling diapers try doing this. i have had 6 kids and worked everytime for me. put some in a plastic bag with some fabric sheets and close it for 24 hours. doing this is only putting smell into the air in bag. no way is the fabric sheet even touching baby. try it. it does work.

I've noticed many people suggesting the baby powder...I was told that baby powder was actually BAD to use on baby...
The powder can be inhaled and cause problems. I wouldn't want to risk the health of my baby to avoid the nasty diaper smell.
Can you smell the diaper when it is on her? Cause if not, than I wouldn't worry about it. I take a stack of diapes out of the bag adn leave them on my change table. Maybe you should try that...it allows the air at them and maybe the smell will go away. That way you are not using anything scented so your not worried about irriation. Because of the sensitive parts that the diaper covers, I wouldn't want to try much as I would be worried that I'd give my daughter an infection...

I actually had the same question, my little one uses pampers and I find they stink, one pee and she smells like it really bad, but with huggies she doesn't get the smell. Anyway, a friend of mine told me you can buy a product by huggies, and its a lotion that once it is put on baby it turns to a powder and it smells just like the baby powders. Just a thought.

Baby powder is bad for the lungs and actually contribute to diaper rash. Your kids diaper is going to stink anyway. I think this should be the least of your concerns.

Don't use powder, that can migrate to sensitive areas. Maybe lotion.
The use of laundry sheets works as stated by daf, but you can also use them as car air fresheners. Buy bulk at Costco or Sam's.

Johnson & Johnson makes an inexpensive baby cologne Check the web, it's kinda hard to find. Anyway, it's gentle, smells great and is alcohol free.

Put a dryer sheet in the bag.
I also put them in all oyr drawers and on the shelves that have clothes on them so my towels and sheets always smell fresh.

My only suggestion would be the powder idea. It's manufactured for babies, so it's the only safest thing that comes to mind.

you will not save money by buying cheap diapers, you will use twice as many diapers and spend the same amount of money if you had spent a little more on expensive diapers ,plus less changing and less leakages with better diapers.
