I bought this car earlier this year. It has been fine but every now and then it cuts out and\or loses power. The previous owner addmitted that he had a similar problem before and got the Air Mass meter (Air flow meter) replace and this cleared the fault. This was only about 15 months ago. Could it be gone again? OR any other suggestions welcome.

Hi there,
We owned 1 of these for ages and it were great, suffered the same problem or sounds similar, changed everything possible and it still would lose power, later found out the wiring is reclaimed and after much searching found a wire damaged to the fuel pump relay, replaced wire and bingo sorted.
Might be different from yours but it might help.
Only bonus was I did all the work myself.

It could be an engine management problem. It seems a bit strange that it is an intermittant problem so it to my mind is most likely an elctrical fault but I am no expert and I am sure other people will know more.
