"Bill O'Reilly is an ego-driven, biased individual who spreads fear, hate and misunderstanding. While he sees himself as a culture warrior, his views are firmly anchored to the political right. He works tirelessly to enrage Americans and pit them against anything he considers "liberal" or, worse yet, "secular". Mr. O'Reilly uses highly manipulative forms of presentation, phrasing and, yes, "spin". Also, he's completely nuts."

he's extremely authoritarian... that's why i don't care for his views, but he's also become sort of a cartoon recently.
On October 5, 2006, Bill O’Reilly left his fellow Fox host Neil Cavuto nearly speechless with a rant against the liberal financier and philanthropist George Soros, whom Cavuto had just interviewed. O’Reilly called Soros “the single most dangerous individual in the United States of America. And his assassins, the people he hires to harm the people with whom he disagrees.” When Cavuto noted that Soros had given money to many good causes, O’Reilly shot back, “Mussolini made the trains run on time, Neil.” The genial Cavuto could only sputter, “Oh man—oh man.”

They are just not looking at the real Bill O'Reilly. It is hard to hate someone that is such a ridiculous caricature of a commentator. He was on the Colbert Report last night. It was hard to tell them apart. If you take Bill seriously, you just don't get the joke. The problem I think is that sometimes Bill actually doesn't get the joke either.

Bill O'Reilly is a backstabbing wimp. He had Seven Colbert on his show last night and was sweet as pie to him, then after the Colbert segment was over he had two other guest on that he ranted to that Steven Colbert was bad for America.

Very simple: he tells the truth, and the truth hurts sometimes. He's also a spirited debater, and people don't like it when they get their butts kicked in a debate like many of his guests do. But above all else, he stands up for the United states of America! Secularists HATE it when somebody sticks up for America, especially the ACLU and the human rights organization!

Bill is the type of person who is very blunt, straight to the point. Some people take him to be a smart mouth jerk but he's really not.

As smart as the guy is, he reaks of bigotry and ultraconservatism.
He is real good at what he does (see above) but he is way too arrogant in that sense he believes he is the God of Righteous Answers to everything in the world: his word is what needs to be trusted. I say: nah.

He's opinionated and he's not afraid to tell you what he thinks. I think that turns alot of people off. Just like any other opinionated celebrity like Rosie O'Donnell, Howard Stern, Donald Trump, Pat Robertson or Rush Limbaugh. No one likes someone who thinks they are right and that's the end of the discussion.

He invites people on his show, and then talks right through them to make his own populist-conservative-self-serving tautologies.
