I'm not going to lie, I do that all the time. In class when I am near a really cute boy, I will drop my pencil and just look sad for a second and then BAM he picks it up! It really works because then you start talking and then you can now talk to him on a regular basis because you've broken the tough starter barier.

Are there any women who still use a hankerchief? Ladies, these days, are more apt to carry a cell phone or blackberry. Not sure if they'd want to drop those; but they sure would get noticed. ha ha!

handkerchief no,but I have seen them drop other things,or try to look helpless in hopes that a knight in shining armor like myself will come over and help them . :)

i don't do it, cuz the man prob wouldn't notice, and he'd stand on your hand as you went to pick it up...still i suppose that could be a conversation starter
