I've included the links to the pre-pharm programs at USC and Univ. of Pacific.

That should give you an idea. It usually means you have to go to each particular school that has that program and see what their particular requirements are.

I'm not sure what peaches is talking about. That's not how it works in the US. Maybe in another country. It's not Canada cuz they still have bachelor programs to become a pharmacist.

I am a freshman pharmacy student at St. John's University, NY. Most pharmacy schools in the US offer the Pharm D. program which enables the student to graduate as with a doctorate degree in pharmacy. The curriculum for the first two years varies from school to school. Check with the college's website for more detailed info.
About the courses that you are taking...I think the only course that might help in pharmacy school is the Technology and Medicine in Modern America..but only in the final years of pharmacy education. Therefore, my suggestion to you is that if you are paying for these courses, I do not think they are worth paying for.

Since your still in high school, you can look at 6 year programs. They will accept you right out of high school.
Most people do 2-4 years of prereqs and than 4 years of pharmacy school. The trend is leaning towards requiring a bachelors.
In pharmacy, chemistry is more important than biology.

hmmm um im pretty sure you have to do 4 years of college and 3 years of specialization and residency. if you work your *** off though you could only do 2 of specialization and residency. im no expert in this though.

and those sciences will look very good on your college application. it shows youre very interested in this

i would do an internship or shadow a pharmacist around sometime in the near future because i have friends that became pharmacists and hated it. so they went back to college and chose a different medical path. and if you get bored easily..... i do not recommend this career move.

just things to think about in the future....

hope this helped
