if they are in .avi quality Roxio burns them perfectly, all you do is open roxio and create a new dvd then select the file(s) you wish to burn to it and click burn. Again this is only if you have movies in .avi format.

Depends largely on the Bitrate.
I burn some Free files to DVD, and they are Hideously pixelated on a PC with a DVI card and Great Playback; However, if I take it to a DVD player, it works beautifully. You need to Burn and Record for the Device you Intent the use for. Of Course some DVD Players are great at Adapting Bit-rates. However, some units are TERRIBLE. All depends on the source, and on the Player

When you burn on dvd / vcd you must use the lowest speed, & if u can u must cut the movies piece by piece ( u can use software call dvd/vcd cutter ) , the best duration for 1 piece of movie is 20 minute , after cut ing you can rendering the clip & burn to vcd / dvd with 4 X speed burning

a computer is a multifile running device. it can run many kinds of media provided the codec needed for it. !
now the fact that what you need to burn.. if its a 3GP files, conversion to an AVi or a Dat would render the file corrupt or u would need convertors that give you very low output.
the very first thing that you specify what format is the given file you want to write to the CD and what out put you need.
Kindly review your querry and put it up, so that i can relaly help you out...

I Would suggest that you create a data disk and burn the files as they are. If there are no encoding issues there will be no quality loss.
But if you need to have d VCD/DVD then that is another problem :(
