How can you not when you hear the artist "crying" in the song?
Many songwriters use life experiences to build a song around and when they sing about those experiences it comes out in the music.

Definately, a lot of people will cry when a song touches them whether in a happy way or a sad way. One day you may even have a song touch you that way, you may not. It does not make you insensitive just not the same as your friend who cried about that song. If I hear songs about children or death I am an absolute mess but if I hear songs about love they don't phase me. It all depends on what hits that special nerve in you to tear up. Also sometimes you just have to let go a little.

Yes I have. Any songs that reminded me of an ex usually did for a while after a breakup. One particular song that made me cry once, cuz it might've been the scene in the movie it was in, was "I'll Be" by Edwin McCain. I'd do just about anything for someone I love deeply.

Yeah, I cried the first time I heard "House of Pain" by Faster Pussycat. The song really spoke to me about a situation I had with my ex, and my son.

I listen to 'Sadie' by Joanna Newsom and despite myself, I felt a huge wave of emotion hit me like a big wet wave. For about half a dozen listens this song would do it to me and then it wore off.
Strange how music can hit you like that!

Sure, Especially when it reminds me of someone I loved or miss at the time. I pay close attention to the lyrics of songs.
