It's really funny and really entertaining. Beyond that folks do get injured but not to the extent they would if they were really kicking each others butts.

I was a huge fan of the WWE.... and still am a bit..... but all the punches are fake.... most of the kicks... are fake also
The "signature moves" actually are real as they look..... for the most part..... they actually hurt... the little things are fake...
All the rivalries are make up storylines...

Its Entertainment. Vince McMahon never said it was real fighting. Hes in the entertainment business. But all that aside, the wrestlers get "really" hurt all the time. They still hit and do their moves, just not at 100%, like in a bar fight or something.

It's "real" in the way that they are human beings, not robots or figments of our imagination. But the fights are highly choregraphed, staged, and take a LOT of skill to pull off. It's an act, but a beautiful one. Like a body slam ballet!

It's scripted. They already know who is going to when, but not how. The wrestlers are the one performing the moves and they are real, they just do them in a way that makes them as painless as possible.
Mistakes still happen though.

its real as it gets come on now people all the moves that they do diving off the rope everything they do in that ring is real yes they may go over it b4 they get in the ring but wrestling is real maybe a kick and a putch is fake but putting some body on there back or jumping off the turnbuckle on sum1 thats on a table is 100% real

its fake as in the story line its not like the people really hate each other backstage theyre all fans. but its also real because the really do some of the moves toeach other not all of them. its not like a sopeopra they are really fit athletes

The stories are scripted and the fights are choreographed. A friend of mine was once in the running to be hired as one of their writers.
