it seems like we are the happiest person on this earth, we don't live together he on his side and i on mine but still when we are together it is great. people can see how much we mean to one another even his children can see it but i don't know what is holding him back from being commited to me...

Commitment is a serious steps. Things like this take time so relax...if you are sure about your love for him and his for you then you have nothing to worry about. Things will work itself out and eventually you'll have kids and be married and happy!

Sounds like he just needs more time to make up his mind... 1 year is not that long, don't rush it. Of course, it could also be that he HAS made up his mind, and you're NOT the person he wants to ultimately spend his life with; just because you feel he's "the one", doesn't automatically mean he feels the same. being committed how? by living together? maybe he isn't ready for that step. if you are married then i would think that you are already committed to each other. be grateful that you have your space. not too many people have a relationship as lucky as yours.
