Vista isn't worth it quite yet.

I suggest if you really want to buy Vista to wait a couple of months when it comes preloaded on machines.

It is not worth it as an upgrade to many older machines on the market. I would like to upgrade if it supported more 64-bit drivers, but unfortunately, 64-bit OS with apps are far away for your average PC users.

I don't understand 218 RAM. Nowadays, you're looking at 1 ghz, 2ghz 3ghz or some decimal in between.

Microsoft has a program out that will analyze your computer and tell you how close you are.

Frankly, I'd wait until Vista ships with new pcs and buy one. I already know the graphics card has to be special, so why take a chance on wasting money.
