I don't always. I oftentimes fall and have to hit bottom and scrape my knee in order to realize how to stand back up and regain my balance.
I find climbing the monkey bars is a good diversion. No balance required. Problem solving? Yes.... which keeps my mind focused and thinking.
The swings have too many ups and downs. As does the slide that seems so defeatist as you plummet as soon have you have reached the top.
The tire swing just makes you dizzy as you get overwhelmed by everything spinning out of control.
But it is the teeter totter that is definitely the most challenging. It seems that when you are in a partnership...... Only one person can be UP...... while the other is Down. Trying to achieve balance so that both can experience happiness together as well as the hardships? VERY VERY difficult.

Don't be attached to either happiness or sadness. Both come and go in due time, and neither are permanent. If you are between happiness and sadness, you ARE balanced.

Stopping. Just stopping. And focusing on your breath. Just observing yourself breathe from the first person. If you let boredom get to you, then it's back to the rollercoaster. Make your choice.

I ask someone else who's happy to jump on and we give sadness a "Bump". It always helps.
