Several new deals came out today. They have been coming out on Thursdays and Fridays that last few weeks (6 or so). New coupons come out about every 10 days. Right now, there is an excellent coupon for 20% off laptops $999 or more.

BTW, in past years, Dell has had some unbelievable deals in September and February. That is not to say it will happen this year, but it could. If you are not in dire need of a new laptop, you could check that out. Otherwise, set up an alert at http://www.24houredeals.com/Login/default.asp?nextForm=loginform&Message=logintous&returnForm=saveAlert&merchant_ID=23&postedForm=holdmerchant (it asks you to log in) and you will get the new specials and coupons via email.

Good Luck

I would not recommend getting a Dell laptop - the best series in my opinion at the moment are the Sony Vaio series - but if that's the one you want then Dell have had a big sale on through early Jan called 'The Big One'. They have some offers on now but I expect that 1st of Feb is your best bet as Vista is released and Dell are likely to make a big thing of it. Also - do a Google search for dell coupons as there are many about!

They currently have a sale on now i think because ive just bought a laptop from them and its very efficient and has a built in WLAN card so that you can pick up wireless internet connections.

Ive bought the Inspiron 1501 and it was in the sale for £499 from £569 which i thought was quite a good deal. but if your unsure on what you want just look on there website.

and by the way all the people that have said dell laptops are crap are wrong! If your a student like myself there perfect for coursework and mobility! even if your not there still a good brand. and i havent had any problems with it.

Dell makes lousy laptops. They are flimsy. A Latitude 610 is running at my elbow this very moment. It has always had trouble with the keyboard and mouse. The mouse will go berserk at times, running all over the screen and even activating programs on the desktop at random. They had to replace the keyboard and they put some sort of sticky plastic cover near the touch pad. On the other hand, the old IBM T22 I am typing this on is built like a brick s---house and has never given me any trouble.

When have Dell NOT got a sale of one kind or another? It was really difficult not looking at their ad's, just after I bought my Dell, in case I saw the same one cheaper! :-)

as the other answerers who quite rightly said not to buy a dell as they are crap, i whole heartedly agree. dells pack out their product with pomp and circumstance but try their "customer" or "technical" support! you'll be wishing you threw the money down the toilet before you let Dell sell you bullshit.

i would sooner go into PC world and let some spotty prick read me the script for the latest intel hyper threading orgasmic reverse sphincter processor and buy one! before i'd buy a dell.

First of all, reformat the computer. If you're worried about personal information look up a boot-and-nuke type program that completely erases your harddrive. THen use the factory restore discs to reinstall the operating system. Then just put it up on craigslist, list the specs, the price you want, and go from there.
